Google UX Design Certification

In early 2022, I completed the 7 Google courses needed to earn a UX Design certification. Although my focus is UX writing, I believe that having an understanding of basic design principles goes a long way in being effective at my job.

These courses focused on practical knowledge, like Figma and Adobe XD, as well as how to conduct usability studies and competitive audits; basic design principles; putting the user first; and understanding information architecture.

Case Study 1

My first project was designing an app that made buying pet food simple. Focus was on UX research and Figma functionality.

Case Study 2

My second challenge was to design a responsive site for a local bakery. Focus was on responsive principles and user testing, as well as prototypes.

Case Study 3

My final project had to focus on something that would help the common good. I chose to highlight the endangered otter. This project put all I'd learned in the previous courses together
